La Hacienda recognizes that overcoming chemical dependency poses a special
challenge to individuals who are dually diagnosed. Patients with a history of
dual diagnosis (such as major depression, bi-polar disorder, post-traumatic
stress disorder, or ADHD) along with a primary diagnosis of chemical
dependency, can be helped. La Hacienda's Dual Diagnosis Recovery Program
supplements traditional chemical dependency treatment with specialized process
groups aimed at the unique needs of these patients. The case manager works
closely with the Medical Director and psychiatrist to engage these patients in
the best treatment experience possible.
